  Emergey plan is a general program of action to be followed in the event of fire,explosion, inundation or other emergency in the mine for dealing with the situation effectively and efficiency.                                                                                It is includes duties and responsibilities of mines official,keyman and telephone operator so that every such person knows what is expected of him in the event of an emergency in the mine.                                                    It is prepared by the manager and enforced at the mine after approval by the Regional inspector.It is kept ready at every underground mines. ...

ADVANTAGE OF L/W ADVANCING METHOD

Ful l production may be attained rapidly with little development work. I n L/W ADVANCING all the seam section is extracted in one operation,so a maximum degree of extension can be achieved. High  degree of roof control can be obtend by sutable method of packing or caving. The  good ventilation system is mantaion than board and pillar method. The  method are suitable for seam with dirt band which is utilised for extaction of pack well.

The demensions of pillar and galleries and the shape of pillar,formed in any seam or section shall be such as to ensure stabilty during the formation and extraction of pillar and during the period between such formation and extraction.Save with the previos permission in writing of the regional inspector and subject to such conditions as he may specify therin no gallery ina seam or section shall exceed three meter in hight or4.8meter in width at any place.The pillar formed in any seam or section shall normally be rectangular in shape.The distance between the center's of any two adjacent pilar left in seam or section shall not be less than that specified in the appended table as corresponding to the depth of the seam or section form the sureface at that point and the width of the gallery in the working in question.

International Flooding

When the owner agent or manager intends or proposes,by introducing water from the surface or from any other part of the mine,or from an adjacent mine,to flood any part of the working of his mine,he shall give,in writing not less than 14days notice of such intention or proposal to the chif inspector and the regional inspector and to the management of all adjoining mines and of such other mine as might by such flooding.Provide further that the regional inspector may by an order in writing,either prohibited any such operation or require that such operation shall not be commenced untill such precautions,as he may specify,have been taken to his satisfaction.
