MECHINERY OF EXAMINATION

No machinery shall be operated otherwise thanby or under constant supervision of a competent person.In a gassy seam of second or third degree no person shall be appointed to supervise or operate any electrical machinery, apparatus or appliance unless he holds a gas testing certificate.every such person shall be provided with the carry an approved flame safety lamp while on duty.Every person in charge of any machinery or appliance shall,before commencing work,see that it is in proper working order,and if he observes any defect therin he shall immediately report that fact the manger,engineer or other competent person.                                                                                                     Every person incharge of an airrecevier shall be that no extra weight is added to the safety value and that the permissible pressure of air is not exceeded.A competent person or persons appointed for the purpose shall once atleast in every 7 days,make a through inspection of all machinery and plant in use,and shall record the results thereof in a BP book kept for the purpose.in respect of electrical machinery and plant,the competent person shall be an engineer or electrician holding qualification specified in saftey and electric supply Regulations 2010.

  When a truck or dumper backs up a person standing behind the vehicle may get crushed.To alert such a person truck/dumpers are provided with audio visual alarm.As soon as the vechile is put in reverse gear, a special horn starts blowing and the backlight flashes.It is a statutory requirements that truck,dumper or loader shall not be run unless the audio visual alarm is working.
