SLEEPING HOLES

Holes which are not blasted on the day when they are loaded are known as sleeping holes.; holes loaded with explosive are potentially dangerous and must be blasted at the earliest.However in large,in large open cast mines sleeping of holes cannot be avoided as very large blasts are conducted involving a large number of holes which take more than a day to load.sometimes after loading the holes the nearby equipment cannot be withdrawn to a safe place because of their breakdown and before charged holes remain in blasted for a day or mine.

Audio visual alarm

  When a truck or dumper backs up a person standing behind the vehicle may get crushed.To alert such a person truck/dumpers are provided with audio visual alarm.As soon as the vechile is put in reverse gear, a special horn starts blowing and the backlight flashes.It is a statutory requirements that truck,dumper or loader shall not be run unless the audio visual alarm is working.
