What are the Blasting accessories

Various types of devices used for initiating explosive are called BLASTING ACCESSORIES; example:-Saftey fuse,detonating fuse,Nobel,Raydet, detonating relays,coard relays,circut tester,crimper,shot firing cable,exploder.                                             SAFETY FUSE:- Looks like cord consist of a core of fine grained gunpowder wrapped with layer of a tape and water proof coating.Burning speed of safety fuse is 100to120sec/meter.                                                                    DETONATING FUSE:-Such as cardtex and geocord detonating fuse.The detonating fuse looks like a plastic cord,it's external dia is about5mm.and weight about 20gm.per meter length.Its velocity of detonation 6500m/sec to 7000m/sec .A large number of shot hole connected with detonating fuse can be blasted by a single detonator.A detonating fuse is also used for demolition operation.                                 NONEL:-Nonel is developed by NONEL AB of Sweden.Primers charge explosive with NONEL detonators in serted and charge the blast hole.The shocks wave at a rate of approx VOD is m/sec .                                                 RAVDET:-It consist of plastic tube carrying a very small quantity of explosive material on its inner surface.                                     DETONATING RELAVS:-In o/c Working detonating relays using detonating fuse for initiation provied a non electric  delay firing system.                                                   CORD RELAVS:-Cord relays are same as detonating relays.A cord realys have dia11.5mm and length of 152mm.                                       CIRCUT TESTER:-An instruments to test continuity of an electronic circuits for blasting is blastometer.It is available in two range:*0to100πforu/g coal mines.0to1000πfor other applications.                                 CRIMPER:-A crimper is pair of pilar to crimpe or press the end of plain detonators on a safety fuse inserted in to it,So that the fuse cannot came out of the detonators.                                  SHETFIRING CABLES:-The cable are twin core and insulated to withstand at least 250volt.                                                                         EXPLODER:-The portable apparatus which provides the curent necessary for firing electric detonators is called an exploder.

Audio visual alarm

  When a truck or dumper backs up a person standing behind the vehicle may get crushed.To alert such a person truck/dumpers are provided with audio visual alarm.As soon as the vechile is put in reverse gear, a special horn starts blowing and the backlight flashes.It is a statutory requirements that truck,dumper or loader shall not be run unless the audio visual alarm is working.
