Duties of magazine incharge

The magazine incharge: shall, subject to the order of superior officials be responsible for the proper receipt, storage and issue of explosives in and from the magazine;shall maintain such records of explosives so received stored and issue,as are required by the rules made under the Indian Explosives Act 1884,and under the act and under the Regulations or orders made thereunder.                                                                            


Shall not issue explosives to any person others than a competent person;and when explosives are returned to the magazine shall re issue such explosives before issuing fresh stock. shall record in a bound paged book kept for the purpose the names of various competent person,and the quantity and nature of explosives issued to each of them and shall similar recorded the quantity and nature of explosives return to the magazine by each such person.

                                                                                   Shall securely lock each canister before issuing it to the competent person and shall also check whether the canister is returned to the magazine in locked  condition,he shall not issue explosives in any canister which is not in proper repair or which can not be securely locked.shall not allowed any unauthorised person to enter the magazine and shall if he discovered shortage of explosives in the magazine, forthwith inform the manager in writing.

  When a truck or dumper backs up a person standing behind the vehicle may get crushed.To alert such a person truck/dumpers are provided with audio visual alarm.As soon as the vechile is put in reverse gear, a special horn starts blowing and the backlight flashes.It is a statutory requirements that truck,dumper or loader shall not be run unless the audio visual alarm is working.
