MINING METHOD

Hydraulic Stowing can not effective in the case of flat and shallow seam.At these case hand packing preferable. Mining sardar shall   obey of superior official.Keep control on work in the district assigned to him.Make all efforts to ensure observance of the Act, regulations and orders issued thereunder.If anyone contravenes the provisions,he shall in form the overman immediately.He shall carry out all inspection required by the Regulations and write report. Overman means a person possessing a managers or Overman s Certificate who is appointed by the manager in writing under any designation whatsover,to perform the duties of supervision or control in a mine or part thereof and is as such superior to a surdar.(Reg.2 "22")          Note: Second class mangers certificate holder can also be appointed as an overman in a very complicated highly mechanised mine.In smaller mines there may be only one overman.In bigger mines,an overman may be appointed for a part of the mine is district.The boundaries of district assigend to the overman are marked in the tracing of workings given to him.As noted in the definition above an overman performs the duties of supervision and control .
