Underground coal mines get and Fancings

Every walkable entrance from surface shall be provided with a substantial gate.The gate shall be kept closed and locked when there are no person below ground. Entrance not in use for entry or exit shall be permanently closed in a manner to effectively prevent person from entering. 

                                                                          portion of excavation within 15m of a public road or any building,surface areas which have subsided,and surface areas likely to subside,shall be kept securely fenced.            Entrance to-  shafts  staple pits  sumps goaves,and  other dangerous places shall  be provided with a fence,barrier or gate which will effectively prevent person entering or falling therin. Entrance from an underground road way to parts not being worked or used,shall be provided with fence or gate to prevent inadvertent entry.

Audio visual alarm

  When a truck or dumper backs up a person standing behind the vehicle may get crushed.To alert such a person truck/dumpers are provided with audio visual alarm.As soon as the vechile is put in reverse gear, a special horn starts blowing and the backlight flashes.It is a statutory requirements that truck,dumper or loader shall not be run unless the audio visual alarm is working.
